# Video comparison demo Two short interview excerpts for the noise website. - Hitchcock: https://archive.org/details/AlfredHitchcockExtendedInterview ; 01:00–01:20, retrieved with remote seeking rather than downloading the entire 40-minute file. Licensed CC BY-SA 3.0 US: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/us/ . Original download linked from https://questioncopyright.org/nina_paley_sita_interview_segments.html . Cut to the first 20.2 seconds, before the male speaker, with +7 dB applied to the source before processing (+4 dB initially, then +3 dB). This adapted clip is available under the same CC BY-SA license. Hitchcock input gain: +9 dB relative to the archive excerpt. Nina input gain: +7 dB total relative to the archive excerpt. Original and both processed versions share the same input gain; no independent output normalization. Processing reproduces the extension's graph using its bundled WASM engines and Chromium's native Web Audio filters and dynamics. Both clips have original, RNNoise and GTCRN tracks. User's preferred results: Hitchcock GTCRN; Nina RNNoise. Both: 100% wet, compression 20% (threshold -15.2 dB, ratio 1.6, makeup +0.8 dB), high-pass 65 Hz, hum filters enabled, neutral EQ, extension limiter. Startup parameter ramps are omitted; all settings are stable from the start. Engine delay and 12 ms dynamics look-ahead are removed to align A/B. Frames are processed continuously in stereo at 48 kHz. Delivery uses one silent H.264 MP4 per clip and separate original/RNNoise/GTCRN 24-bit FLAC tracks at 48 kHz. Audio is extracted from the archive source, not the re-encoded preview MP4. No added lossy audio encoding. Picture: Hitchcock resized to 480 pixels wide, CRF 26; Nina retains 360 pixels, CRF 25. A single player uses the landing audio demo stylesheet and controls. Thumbnail buttons select the video, preserving the audio mode and engine; playback continues from the new clip's beginning if previously playing. Audio files load on first playback of each clip and are cached for repeat comparison. The adapted Nina Paley excerpt and both processed versions are distributed under CC BY-SA 3.0 US, with attribution to QuestionCopyright.org. Changes: trimming, +7 dB total input gain, and noise processing. No endorsement is implied.
